Reloads: the same maths as a welcome offer, repeated
Updated: October 2026 · Rastislav Bednár
A reload is a deposit offer for players who already have an account. Instead of a single large welcome match, you get smaller recurring offers — a match on a weekend deposit, a batch of spins on a weekday, a seasonal campaign. Whether Zodiac runs reloads right now, how often and with which conditions is set by the operator and may change. What follows is the logic that applies to every reload, and the reason why a regular offer can quietly become an expensive habit.
Why repetition changes the picture
A single offer with a modest wagering requirement is easy to evaluate. A reload every week is different: each one adds its own requirement, each requirement is cleared with stakes, and each stake carries the house edge of the game you play. The more reloads you take, the more total wagering you commit to, and the cost of that wagering grows in proportion. A hypothetical example in neutral units: four weekly reloads of 50 units each, with wagering of 25 times the bonus, add up to 5,000 units of stakes. On a slot returning about 96 per cent that is roughly 200 units of expected cost, against 200 units of bonus — the offers break even on average while committing you to far more play than you may have planned.
What to compare between reloads
| Detail | Question to ask |
|---|---|
| Qualifying payment | which payment methods and which days count |
| Wagering | multiple, base and deadline of this specific reload |
| Game contribution | do the games you play count, and how much |
| Interaction with other bonuses | are balances combined, queued or mutually exclusive |
| Maximum bet | does it fit your usual stake on the games you like |
Reloads and game choice
The contribution table decides more than the match rate. Slots commonly count in full; roulette, blackjack, baccarat and live dealer games often count partly or not at all, because their low house edge would make wagering cheap. If your sessions are mostly at tables, a reload may add a requirement you can only clear by switching to games you do not enjoy. If you play slots, look at volatility: a calm title moves the requirement steadily, while a volatile one can end the reload balance in a few minutes. Our slot guide shows how to estimate volatility from the paytable, and the wagering guide explains contribution in detail.
Healthy ways to use reloads
- Decide your monthly budget first; take a reload only when you were going to deposit anyway.
- Skip reloads whose contribution table excludes the games you play.
- Do not stack several active bonuses unless the terms clearly explain the order of wagering.
- Treat a reload as optional — declining it keeps your cash free of conditions.
